A COMMODITY’S CODE.

Falling through the lyrical, arriving at the physical,
Forgetting the satirical before appearing quizzical,
Fermenting as an actual an unfamiliar visual,
Forsaking every factual and issued rather casual.

Allowing more than cordial upon its first reveal,
Announced through our aerial to quickly congeal,
Amounting to material that all agreed ideal,
Amazing and imperial and eager to appeal.

Performing for the amiable, who moulded it like marble,
Pronouncing it transferable and rather more than stable,
Protecting all the favourable invited to enable,
Preferring that the miserable remained under their molehill.

Inviting every capital to underwrite the usual,
Incorporating sexual to help remove refusals,
Invoking all the rituals renowned for their approval,
Introduced to all the beautiful who always need renewal.

Received by the cerebral as the finest thing unveiled,
Renowned and more mercurial than anything retailed,
Remarkably the menial were keen on the details,
Rejecting it as trivial and swiftly fell the sales.

Suffice to say the risible returns removed its label,
Surrendered to predictable trade cycles and timetables,
Sufficiently invisible, before too long a fable,
Surrounded and immiscible, but never once ungrateful.
