The water drew itself
Up from the well,
And left its mark on
Every soluble.
Bursting through the surface
To the cells;
Hydrating,
Undulating,
Celebrating the event.

Caused to withdraw in time
Along the shelf,
By when consumed
Considerable.
Seeping back beneath a boundary
Of ghosts;
Sated,
Stimulated,
Elevated and content.
