Oh if the coast by the sea
Up and waved on
By and by to be.
I don’t know it’s stranger than I could think;
On the landing, in the sun, with a tall drink.
Warming me with something or more about today.
Oh if the pages run out
Then the end will
Have an air of doubt.
There’ll be letters falling onto the floor;
Story lines and one way signs will be no more.
Some things can help your lazy mind out of the day.
Oh if the sun never set
And such aim could
Advertise itself;
It would open windows I had once broken;
Glancing by and highlighting those unspoken
Times up here on the stairs, all through my life.
