AN ANSWER FOR THE DANCE.

If there is no other after
Than what there is around,
Then what was there on offer
Before we had the ground?

Indeed before the Earth set,
And our condition formed;
Beyond azure climate
And ebony’s adorn.

When contrast was unknown,
And profundity unplanned;
Where inflation lived alone
With nowhere to expand.

A universe with no event,
A bang without offence,
Where everything was element
Or super strings condensed.

Awaiting introductions,
Anticipating trips,
The sum of stuff in flux and
In need of sponsorship.

Restive on its altar,
Spatially aligned,
Apparently defaulted or
Perfectly on time.

Or was there once a giver?
A being with an intention,
Or will science deliver
A different dimension,

And make hay with our money,
And tell us what accrued,
As it to me seems funny
That no one’s got a clue.

For neither they nor ministers
Can tell from whence we came,
And it seems a little sinister
That questions still remain;

‘Cause someone’s got the answer,
But which of them is worse?
A creator for the dancer
Or an endless multiverse.
